More on why peak oil already occurred

Did we reach peak oil yet ?We have already seen that some believe that peak oil may have already occurred last year. Now some IEA officials stated unofficially that oil production forecasts are completely unrealistic.  As The Guardian noted :

The world is much closer to running out of oil than official estimates admit, according to a whistleblower at the IEA who claims it has been deliberately underplaying a looming shortage for fear of triggering panic buying.”

This happened the day before the International Energy Agency released its own World Energy Outlook with already gloomy perspectives. For more please check out the TreeHugger article.
